Three Dessert Recipes With Persian Pistachios


Iranian Pistachios are among the most delicious nuts all around the world. There are many ways you can enjoy the taste of these nuts and cakes and ice creams are definitely great.

We all know that pistachios are very popular because of their amazing taste and benefits. In this article, we are going to teach you three recipes for cakes and desserts that use pistachios. In this way, you can enjoy the taste of Persian pistachios with your friends and family.

 


Here's a recipe for homemade pistachio ice cream:


Ingredients:


- 1 cup shelled pistachios
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions:

 

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Spread the pistachios on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden and fragrant. Remove from the oven and let them cool.

3. Once the pistachios are cool, transfer them to a food processor and pulse until they are finely ground. Add the sugar and pulse a few more times to combine.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

5. Add the pistachio mixture to the cream mixture and stir until well combined.

6. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically for 20-25 minutes.

7. Once churned, transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.

8. Serve and enjoy your delicious homemade pistachio ice cream!

 


Here is a recipe for pistachio cake:

 

Ingredients:

 

- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 box (3.4 oz) instant pistachio pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
- 1 tsp almond extract


Instructions:

 

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, pistachio pudding mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and milk.

3. Beat the mixture for about 2-3 minutes until it becomes smooth and creamy.

4. Fold in the chopped pistachios and almond extract until well combined.

5. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

6. Bake the cake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely before slicing and serving.

8. You may also frost the cake with a cream cheese frosting and sprinkle chopped pistachios on top for added texture.

And finally,  Here is a recipe for pistachio cookies:

 

Ingredients:


- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shelled pistachios, chopped

 

Instructions:

 

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

6. Fold in the chopped pistachios.

7. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

8. Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.

9. Once they are done, remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

10. Serve and enjoy your delicious pistachio cookies!

 

You can also add some melted dark chocolate on top of the cookies and sprinkle chopped pistachios on them for added texture and flavor.
